Job Description

We are seeking a driven Senior Accountant to join our clients growing finance team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. You will have direct exposure to senior leadership, meaningful ownership from day one, and a front-row seat to building scalable processes within a high-growth, multi-entity insurance organization. Key Responsibilities
* Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
* Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
* Lead technical accounting research and document positions on complex transactions relevant to the insurance industry
* Support external audit coordination, serving as a primary liaison
* Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls
* Partner with FP&A, Tax, and business units to provide accurate and timely financial data
* Play an active role in building and improving scalable accounting processes and infrastructure as the company grows
* Support M&A due diligence and integration activities, with direct exposure to senior leadership throughout

Qualifications
* 3-4 years of experience, including at least 2 years in public accounting at a Big 4 or comparable regional/national firm (RSM, BDO, Grant Thornton, or similar) - required
* Ideal candidate is currently at the Senior Associate level and looking to make their first transition into a high-growth private company environment
* CPA license or active CPA candidate (completed exam sections a plus)
* Insurance industry experience preferred; familiarity with statutory accounting principles (QB/SAP/Netsuite) a plus
* Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP required; exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition concepts preferred
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Experience working with accounting and financial reporting systems preferred; ability to learn new systems quickly required
* Advanced Excel skills required
